Course in Procedures and Skills of Protocol

Summary

The primary goal of diplomacy is to strengthen and maintain international relations, resolve misunderstandings, and address disputes that arise in international law and relations. Foreign dignitaries, government representatives, and senior officials from organizations like the United Nations and the European Union should receive appropriate treatment and respect during their visits, according to their roles and in alignment with national interests. To achieve this, the Protocol Service must be informed of their visits, names, and relevant locations, as well as the criteria for granting VIP treatment and the necessary arrangements for hosts.

Understanding the rules of etiquette and proper conduct in various social situations is increasingly essential, not just for diplomats but for many professionals. Training courses on ethics and protocol have gained popularity among young people eager to learn these skills at the British Academy for Training and Development.
